1st International Monodrama Festival

Pursuing the initiative launched two years ago with the International Monodrama Platform in 2015 and continued in the following year with the First Monodrama Platform for Cypriot Creators, the European Capital of Culture Pafos2017 organises the 1st International Monodrama Festival at the renovated Attikon theatre, from the 23rd until the 29th of October.

Comprising a total of 14 performances from England, Poland, Japan, Iran, Spain, Greece, Romania, Algeria, Lithuania, Israel and Cyprus, this first Festival aspires to place Cyprus on the International Monodrama Festival calendar, while establishing synergies and promoting artistic creation, both within Cyprus and abroad.

The French photographer Jean-Marc Caracci has travelled to 37 European capitals and, through his lense, has recorded everyday life scenes. This exhibition presents, through very special snapshots, the differences and similarities between these cities and their people.
