Costas Zachariades is a professional Mechanical Engineer and holds a Bachellor Honours Degree from University of East London. Costas is a full Member of Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber, Associate Charter Engineer Uk. and member of Asset Management Institute of UK.
Costas has more than 35 years of multidiscipline experience in various fields of engineering. Started his career as site engineer in construction industry, moved onto service industry and evolved through several roles in engineering management.
Costas joined Hermes Airports in 2006 at the position of Maintenance & Engineering Manager and has then moved up to lead the Technical Department of the Company as the Senior Technical Manager.
In the position of Senior Technical Manager, Costas, is responsible for managing all physical infrastructure and assets of Hermes airports in a sustainable and cost-effective manner. Key responsibilities include capital investment and sustainable planning, system and facility performance, cost and risk optimization and management of asset life cycle activities. He is also responsible for, project planning and management, new builds, facility maintenance and contracts management. Costas also spearheads the important and critical areas of recycling, waste management, and use of renewable energy sources.
