Elias Liolios joined Hermes Airports in 2006 and has held the role of Director of Commercial and Business Development since 2014. He has extensive experience in Business Development, Hospitality and Real Estate Management. Elias holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA specialising on Strategic Management.
Elias is responsible for all non-aeronautical business and leads the commercial development implementation at both Larnaka and Pafos airports. He previously served as the Chairman for ACI Commercial Forum.
Elias is an advocate for the travel retail and F&B industry and the key role it plays in enhancing the passenger experience. With a special interest in innovation and technology, he is determined to drive non-aeronautical growth by leveraging the airport passenger behavior system and find new ways to differentiate and enhance the airport customer experience. Recently he led the redesign project of the departures commercial area at Larnaka International Airport, which emphases on updating the product offering, enhancing the passenger experience, and including the local sense of place elements.
