Pafos is situated on the west coast of Cyprus, the town of Pafos and has so many archaeological treasures that it appears on the UNESCO World Heritage List – these include its world-renowned Roman mosaics.  The town is divided in two distinct parts; Pano Pafos, or Upper Pafos (Ktima) which is situated on rocky crags at the top of the hill and is where most of the shops, the market, museums and government buildings are situated and Kato (Lower) Pafos which is situated two kilometres down the hill by its pretty harbor and is where all the hotels, tourist shops and many restaurants can be found.

Pafos is also the name of the largest district in Cyprus which stretches northwards to Polis Chrysochou and Latchi and eastwards to the Green Line at Kato Pyrgos. Read more...
