2nd issue of “Welcome” magazine now in airports Cyprus through the eyes of locals The 2nd issue of “Welcome”, the official magazine of Hermes Airports that welcomes visitors to Cyprus, has been published and is now available free of charge at the Arrivals Halls of Larnaka and Pafos Airport.
Welcome is a luxury magazine that is published twice a year, featuring people-focused and travel pieces, interviews as well as tips by the locals. All articles are published in both Greek and English.
“The first issue of the magazine that was published last spring received positive reviews and comments, both from the public and the business community, the tourism industry etc. We hope that the new issue will be even more warmly received”, said Maria Kouroupi, Senior Manager Aviation Development, Marketing and Communication of Hermes Airports.
In this second issue for the autumn/winter period, the magazine includes feature articles on Pafos, Nicosia and Larnaka, presented through the eyes of locals. It also includes stories on the beautiful Troodos region and cosmopolitan Limassol. Furthermore, exclusively on “Welcome”, the Minister of Energy analyses the potential of the energy reserves in the Exclusive Economic Zone of Cyprus. The magazine also features the life story of storyteller and collector Dimitris Pierides and an extensive article on wine-making in Cyprus. Moreover, readers can discover the stories behind the dreamy Euphoria Art Land that was created by Cypriot artist Anthos Myrianthous in Limassol and the atmospheric Hamam Omerye in the centre of the walled city of Nicosia. Readers can also discover the story of Zacharias Papakostas, the Cypriot beekeeper that makes “Tziverti”, the honey that has been repeatedly crowned as the best honey in the world. And of course, readers will also find information and suggestions on exhibitions, field trips, going out etc.
It is worth noting that the printed version of “Welcome” comes with QR codes for each article sending the reader to the online version of the issue, which comprises even more information, images and videos.
