The Airport Career Day organized by Hermes Airports at Larnaka Airport on 6 and 7 March 2020 was successfully completed. The two-day event aimed at providing information and networking potential to people who are interested to become part of the various companies operating at Larnaka and Pafos Airports.
The participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with the companies operating in the areas of ground handling for passengers and aircraft, the retail and food and beverage outlets, the security and cleaning services as well as the Department of Civil Aviation and the Air Traffic Controllers. Through the airport tours, seminars and presentations, they became more familiar with the daily work which comprises the operation of an airport. The participants were also able to find out more information about available job positions in the various companies operating at Larnaka and Pafos Airport and apply for the job position of their preference.
In a statement, the Senior Human Resources Manager of Hermes Airports, Natasa Iacovides said: “It was a great opportunity for the public to find out more information regarding the job opportunities at Larnaka and Pafos Airports, as well as for the companies operating within the airport community, to get the interest by the public to work at the airports, with the growing requirements ahead of the summer season. The Airport Career Day is a new initiative, and our goal is to establish it and further enrich it in the future, which is beneficial for everyone.”
The companies which participated at the Airport Career Day were Hermes Airports, Cyprus Airports Duty Free, Cyprus Airports F&B, Hellenic Tzilalis, ICTS, Swissport, LGS Handling, S&L Airport Services, Abelair Aviation, Airmotive Aviation, Bird Aviation, Petsas Car Rentals and the Department of Civil Aviation.
