Due to recent developments in the region, Hermes Airports provides the following update:
- Until 11:00 a.m. on June 13, the airports of Larnaka and Pafos received diversion requests for aircraft originally bound for airports in Israel and other neighbouring destinations. Specifically, 23 aircraft were diverted to Larnaka and 9 to Pafos. At the time of this announcement, the number of diversion requests has been reduced to a minimum.
- Passengers on the diverted flights to Larnaka and Pafos airports have disembarked from the aircraft, and the respective airlines have arranged their transportation from the airport and accommodation.
- So far, 15 flights to/from Larnaka Airport and 1 flight to/from Pafos Airport have been cancelled. It is expected that all scheduled flights to and from Israel for today will be cancelled.
Hermes Airports urges passengers to regularly check the status of their flight through the website www.hermesairports.com and to contact their airlines or travel agents directly before heading to Larnaka or Pafos airports.
