Hermes Airports has created at Larnaka International Airport the first “Changing Place” facility for Disabled Persons in Cyprus

Hermes Airports introduced a “Changing Place” facility for disabled persons and their careers at Larnaka International Airport, which further upgrades the facilities and services it provides to disabled persons and people with reduced mobility

The “Changing Place” facility is located in the public area of the Arrivals Hall opposite the elevators and may be used by both arriving and departing disabled passengers that need it. This room is a separate facility from regular rest rooms, as it is further equipped with a lifting hoist, a height-adjustable adult-sized changing bench and shower, thus providing sanitary accommodation for disabled persons and their assistants, who will be able to use the toilet facilities, change clothes and wash themselves with safety and comfort.

“Changing Place” facilities are purpose built facilities and are being offered around the world in large public buildings such as malls, airports, train stations and town centres, so that the needs of disabled persons can be met.

The “Changing Place” facility at Larnaka International Airport is the first of its kind in Cyprus, and is part of Hermes Airports’ ongoing commitment to continuously upgrade the facilities and services it offers to disabled persons and persons with reduced mobility.

Hermes Airports has been duly recognised by the “Airports Council International in Europe for its ongoing commitment to the quality of customer care it provides to disabled persons and as a result Hermes Airports has duly received the “Accessibility Award for Larnaka International Airport in 2017 and for Pafos International Airport 2018. Hermes Airports will continue to raise the bar by investing in innovative solutions that aim to further enhance the passenger experience.
