During a cocktail event organized in the presence of the airport community, Hermes Airports expressed its gratitude to the staff of S&L Airport Services Ltd, recognizing the high level of services provided to people with reduced mobility which contributed to the distinction received by Pafos Airport as the Most Accessible Airport in Europe by ACI Europe in June 2018.
“We would like to take this opportunity to reaffirm our commitment for the provision of a high level of services to all our passengers ahead of the Summer season” said Yiannis Harpas, Senior Manager Operations of Pafos Airport.
In the framework of the services offered to people with disabilities and people with reduced mobility, Hermes Airports recently presented its new and upgraded website which was designed based on the WCAG standards, making its content accessible to people with visual impairment, reduced mobility and disabilities. Additional initiatives include the installation of a Blind Path aiming to guide people with visual impairment from the Car Park areas to the Customer Service office for people with disabilities and PRM and the launch of the “I Can Fly” programme for individuals with autism and their families. Concluding, it is expected that the installation of a hearing guide for people with visual impairment will take place within 2019, in two PRM toilet blocks (Check In and Departure Gates area).
