In an effort to enhance the cultural side of the airport and to convey to thousands of passengers travelling through Larnaka International Airport a message of respect for Nature and Protection of the Environment though art, Hermes is hosting the artwork “Zenon of Kitium” at the Arrivals level of the airport. The artwork was inspired and created by the students of Frenaros Gymnasium using recyclable bits of wood and will be accommodated at the airport from the 17th of June 2014 until the 31st of October 2014. The artwork was unveiled by Mr Philippos Drousiotis, Chairman of the Cyprus Sustainable Tourism Initiative and Mr Wes Porter, Hermes’ CEO, in a ceremony which took place on June 19th 2014. Representatives of the Ministry of Education and Culture, parents and relatives of the students, and other officials were also present during the ceremony.
