Marios Christofi was born and raised in Larnaca. His academic background includes a BA n Greek Literature and Linguistics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and an MA in Business Administration from the Open University of Cyprus.
Marios joined Hermes in 2006 as Operations Coordinator at Larnaka Airport. He has more than seventeen years of expertise and knowhow of all areas relating to airport operations. In 2018 he was appointed to the position of Manager Safety, Security & Compliance responsible for aviation security, safety and regulatory compliance at both Larnaka and Pafos Airports. In May 2022, Marios moved to the position of Head of Operations at Larnaka airport.
In his current position, Marios, is responsible for managing and overseeing the daily terminal and airside operations at Larnaka Airport with a view to implement national and international aviation regulations and policies, creating a safe and secure airport environment. Through his current position, Marios aspires to provide every passenger with high level of service and a safe, secure, and seamless journey when travelling through the airport.
He is also currently a Member of the Executive Board of the Flight Safety Foundation Mediterranean.
