E-gates
In our consistent commitment to continuously upgrade our services, we have proceeded in the installation of automatic electronic entry gates (e-gates) at both Larnaka and Pafos airports. You may find these gates in the check-in areas of each airport and may serve you in your departure.
The automatic-electronic entry gates system allows you, when carrying a printed copy of your airline’s boarding pass, to proceed directly to the security check and then towards the commercial areas and departure gates of our terminals.
The process of using this system is very simple and only requires the scanning of your boarding pass. The system of automatic-electronic gates can serve up to 1,800 passengers per hour, a fact which is expected to contribute significantly to the reduction of your total queuing time.

BorderXpress
Responding to the demands of today’s fast paced environment, together with the Cyprus Police and the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, we have introduced the operation of the “BorderXpress” interactive kiosks at Larnaka and Pafos airports.
Through this high-level technology, whether you are departing or arriving in Cyprus, you may be in the position to independently scan your identity card or passport as an intermediate step of the passport control procedure.
All you need to do is approach an automatic gate and place your open passport into the scanner. The gates use facial recognition technology to compare your face to the photograph recorded on the chip in your passport. You will then receive a receipt which should be presented at a predefined check point. If the check is successful, it means you clear passport control. If not, you will need to go to a control gate operated by an Immigration Officer.
