With smiles and wishes for a successful event, Hermes Airports welcomed the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 trophy and mascot to Larnaka Airport on Monday, 26 May 2025. In collaboration with the Organizing Committee of FIBA EuroBasket in Cyprus, Hermes proudly welcomed the prestigious trophy along with Marky Mark, the mascot of the largest sports event to be held in Cyprus.
Hermes Airports announces that today, Friday, March 21, 2025, it has completed the financing process for Phase 2 works, with the signing of all agreements with the banks which are financing the project. An agreement has also been signed with the joint venture Bouygues Batiment International SAS and Iacovou Brothers (Constructions) Ltd, which has undertaken the construction of the Phase 2 works, as these are provided in the agreement signed with the Government on December 23, 2024.

An emergency exercise by Hermes Airports was successfully carried out at Larnaka International Airport with the participation of the Department of Civil Aviation, Police, Fire Brigade, Cyprus Airways and various governmental services and companies operating at the airport.
In the winter season, WAW-LCA flights will be operated four times weekly - every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. The frequency of connections will increase in the summer, when LOT will be welcoming passengers aboard 6 times per week (i.e. every day of the week, except Tuesday).
September ended on a positive note regarding passenger traffic at Larnaka and Pafos Airports. Last month, 1.4 million passengers travelled to and from Larnaka and Pafos airports, further contributing to the upward trend observed this year. Compared to September 2023, passenger traffic increased by 7%, and this September's performance set an all-time record for the month.
